Slumdog & Cricket

All of us know the history made by Slumdog & it is meaningless to narrate it here. But I found Indian people could not understand its due importance. Let us compare it with cricket-euphoria. What is more important? Victory in the cricket match or Victory in Oscar? But Oscar is not celebrated by us to that extend of cricket.
Actually I feel cricket is harmful to us by many ways. It may be more useful to Gamblers. They make settings and we are fool to go after it. It is nothing but time pass and driving our attentions away from our real problems. Example of Slumdog Celebation is live and eye-opening; where no other proof is needed. It's the hight of all.....
And now Ex-Captain Mansoor Ali Pataudi demanded to announce Cricket as National Game! I think he is going mad. Whether he want to do game of Hockey? ....

Electric Meter: Reading Problem!

Our monthly average bill of electric usages is always and nearly same or uniform. But many of us might have been received fluctuated bills. As I am a Secretary of our Housing Society, I kept log of 2 meters of the society & 2 meters of mine. I found the reading by MSEDCL & me having considerable difference. ...I have pin-pointed the problem.
On 18th a person came to take meter reading, I verified his camera by which he was taking reading by capturing photos of the meters. N to my surprise... camera was set on 22nd Feb. It was nothing but a cheating with the customers. Even there can be a difference in billing due to the slabs of rate and you can be taxed more. I forced him to re-adust his camera properly.
We are busy in our work, so it is not possible to catch hold of the meter-reader on his arrival. So, the simple thing we can do--- we can keep a log of our meter. Even a small child can do it. Then we can complain to appropriate authority for justice. ( Even the media also ... like this one.) Every time plz take received sign-n-seal on the 2nd copy for further reference and action.

Mobile in SChools: Why to ban?

Today there is a News in many News-Papers about Mobile in the Schools in Maharashtra as per order by Minister for Education Mr Patangrao Kadam.. I have not read the original resolution. But I have various versions of the news--- as follows---
1) Mobile phones will be baned for teachers in schools.
2) Mobile is banned for teachers in classrooms only.
3) Mobile is banned for students in schools.
We must count that we are in 21st century & not in 19th or 20th. While banning mobile for students easy communication facility like coin-box phones should be provided. Communication from parents also should be reached to the students promptly.
Banning Mobile for teachers in schools or in class-rooms is nothing but madness. Mobile is the dire need of the age. I am giving some example from my experiences...
1) Many time my students approached me to contact their parents urgently thru my mobile phone.
2) From Exam hall --- I had to contact to the Principal and Exam Incharge for urgent requirements.
3) In exhibition hall --- a student wanted some info about restriction on nuclear chain reaction and absorption of emissions. She could get info from GPRS on my Mobile.
I think all the teachers must have Mobiles with them in Schools and class-rooms compulsorily. It will facilitate better and prompt internal communication. Alongwith it Mobile Phone Code of Conduct can be forced ... like Mobile will be on silence mode, teachers should not use it while teaching, there should be proper & special reason for using it emergency etc. So that misuse at workplace can be avoided. We should not blame knife but the misusers only.
Finally let me ask one simple question --- whether the Ministers and officers are not using Mobile at their workplace?
There are many ways people misuse their workplace & worktime... like ... praying god, satyanarayan etc pujas, chatting, grooming, weaving, privet business etc... Why work culture is laking? How to bring it?

Solution for Pakistan!

I can not dare to say that I am an expert in International Politics. But I am seriously thinking about Pakistan. It is really BECHAARI country! In that RELIGIOUS country religion is nothing but the fanaticism. India will be mostly affected country by Pakistan's ill andabnormal condition. Therefore it is our duty to help & save Pakistan.
Pakistan is also totally faded up with Talibans, Lashkar like terrorism. So helpless rulers of Pakistan asked for HELP!
In such situation one solution came in my mind...
Pakistan may get emerged in India and its states as autonomous & secular ones.
(Indian Constitution is a Great Document, provides article 370 which has provision for it.) Then Taliban & other terrorism in Pak should be handled by USA & India together.
It is like day-dreaming, but terrorist may not leave other way for Pakistani leaders & people. Let us see!

Age Barred ... by Bar Council...

Bar Council of India has recently proposed age limit for LLB. It is 19 years for 5 years LLB after HSC & 30 years for 3 years LLB after graduation. It is sure & certain ... if it had been a limit, I would have notable to do my LLB.
I don't think any sense in this restriction. Education is life-long process. Secondly - Nearly all type of courses are being available from Open Universities. Thirdly - Foreign Universities surely to come with all new ideas. Fourthly - There are many successful advocates who done their LLB in late age.
Only the Court is not destination of Law Students. Many LLB holders have emerged as advisers, consultants, legal drafters, NGO managers, administrators, managers, IR-PR fields, writers etc. Banning such aspirants in the goose of age will prove injustice in the field of law & justice.
Anyway Bar Council had to take back its earlier decisions and this one will be surely added in that list.

100% Result & 50% Salary!

Now a days Privet Schools are booming like anything! As those are permanently Un-aided, Govt is giving permission generously, to open such schools. It lessen financial burden of Govt. Many of such schools advertising their quality by producing 100% result. How it is obtained, is open secret! Recently Maharashtra Govt flashed a news that inquiry will be done of such schools. As usual it is praised. I wonder for the very short memory of mass. It is not first time of such proclamation. Why people not asking Govt --- what was done after previous announcements?
Contradictorily... many of unaided privet schools not giving salary as per rules to the staff. Not even 50% in many schools. It is quiet illegal. In such circumstances the school can be dis-approved or management can be changed or it can be handed over to staff-body.
But have you ever thought, how 100% or high results being achieved with 25 to 50% salary? What is this excellent management idea? The secret is TUITION ZINDABAD!!

Informal Send-off !

Yesterday send-off given to std X students of TVM. We may call it INFORMAL SEND-OFF!! (though it was surely formal one.).
The sequence of the items were as follows-
1- Principal's Speech
2- Vice Principal's Speech
3- Superviser's Speech
4- Speeches of Mrs Shekharan, Mr Naykodi, Mr Aditya
5- Swagat- Geet
6- Speeches of Students
7- Snacks to Students
8- Snacks to Staff
I feel it is inverted sequence. Whatever the matter is, this time I enjoyed program. All were with free & clean mind. Even this batch also was simply better than the expectation of the Staff. Even after the program no student disturbed ongoing classes and work. Really we are missing wonderful students. Anyway they will make their best in future. I am hereby redefining words in "my personal dictionary " to add word Blessing, for all my loving students.
(I could not understand logic behind not giving send-off to students of std XII.)

Saraswati in Nepal & Orissa---

I have read a news from Nepal in The Kathmandu Post. In short it was as under---
Dalit parents denied right to prayer to Saraswati.
Priest Dharmadev Upahdyaya, who was invited by Badimalika English Boarding school at Martadi of Bajura district on Saturday 31st January 2009, to conduct the ceremony, denied the Dalit parents from offering prayers & puja to Saraswati. Even the school Principal Binod Mishra ignored them when they complained to him about the priest's actions. Priest Upahdyaya and Principal Mishra both apologized for the incident after the Dalit parents, along with Martadi-based rights activists, lodged complaints at the District Administration Office on Sunday.
Another News is from Orissa in Indian Express--
Dalit students barred from offering Saraswati puja
Kendrapara, Orissa: Dalit students at a government-run primary school were allegedly prevented from offering puja and having 'prasad' during Saraswati puja at a village in Kendrapara district on January 31.
What you think after reading these news? I think Parents & Students should think seriously over "so called Gods." When Saraswati is known as Goddess of Knowledge but she could not spark knowledge of Humanity & equality in the brain of her devotees like above mentioned priest, principal & others, it is useless to worship her for knowledge purpose. There are many people who don't worship Saraswati but having lot of Knowledge!
